Our Films

Which studios are you buying films from?

We are working with almost all the major production houses (Yash Raj Films, UTV, Reliance, Dharma Productions, Balaji, etc etc), as well as major film distribution companies and a host of independent film producers. Our library is constantly updated to ensure that you get the widest selection of films from the best studios.

When will you show more current films?

Our current catalogue includes films right up to 2012, and we are constantly updating our library to bring you the very latest films. Remember not all films that are released in India are released in the UK, and so there are a host of recent films that you may not have seen, or had access to.

We will be keeping you informed of our latest acquisitions via email, on Facebook, and on our home page – so make sure you keep an eye out for our new releases.

Will you ever show films on the same day that they are released in cinemas?

Yes. We are currently in negotiation with the studios to secure some exciting releases for 2012

What do I do if I can’t find the film I want to watch?

Let us know! Simply go to the contact us page and send us an email. We will do what we can to secure the films you want to watch.

How much do Sanona Movies cost?

The prices may vary based on the age of the film. Older library films usually start around £1.49, and the newest releases are about £2.49.

Browsing, Watching and Saving Films

How long can I watch something after I've purchased it?

You have 72 hours from the point at which your payment is approved to watch the film. You can watch the film as often as you like in that period

If I don't like a title and stop watching it do I still have to pay for it?

Yes. Remember, you have the opportunity to view the trailer and read reviews before you make the decision to buy the film.

Once I've paid for a film, can I watch it more than once?

Yes. You can watch the film as many times as you like for up to 72 hours from when you rented it.

Can I see a list of the online films I have selected to watch?

Yes. When you press ‘Add to Wish List’ the film titles are stored in ‘My Movies’ until you decide to watch them. No payment is taken until you are ready to watch the film.

Can I pause, rewind or fast forward through films?

Yes. The Sanona player has been designed with all the functionality to give you as much control over your viewing as possible.

Can I see a history of all the titles I've watched?

Yes. All the movies you have watched, along with the comments and ratings that you may have given, are saved for your reference in ‘My Movies’. This page is separated out into three sections so you can see: (1) What you have in your wish-list to watch (2) The films you have paid for that are ready to be watched, (3) and The films that you have already watched.

Can I download films to my computer to watch later?

No. The Sanona service is a streaming service, which allows you to watch films instantly, rather than downloading them and using up memory on your computer. However, you can log in from any computer and watch a film you rented within the last 72 hours.

How do I watch Sanona on my TV?

Simply connect your computer or laptop to your TV in the normal way with an appropriate cable. Contact us if you would like helpful information as to how to do this.

What do the Content Advisory symbols mean?

Not all films are suitable for family viewing, and so we have created a classification system that provides you with guidance on the type of content in the film. This may help you decide if a film is suitable for younger members of the family. Family: The film is suitable for all ages. Caution: The film may contain some scenes of a sexual nature, violence or bad language and would be considered to be equivalent Certificate 12A.

How can I report offensive content on your website

We are constantly monitoring the site for any potentially offensive content, but it is always helpful to know that others are being just as vigilant. If you read something offensive from another user, please email the Sanona team and we will rectify the situation as soon as possible.

How can I switch subtitles on or off?

When a film is available with subtitles, you will see a small CC symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of the video player window. By clicking this symbol will switch subtitles and off. When subtitles are on the symbol is grey, when they are off the CC is red.
