Movie Full Storyline

Dadasaheb Phalke (Nandu Madhav) abandons a well established printing business after a quarrel with his business partner. He gives his word to the worried partner that he will never enter into the printing business again as competition. Phalke becomes instantly unemployed and workless and as a result his family struggling to survive. When he accidentally stumbles across a tent theatre screening a silent motion picture he is awestruck and the idea of film making comes to him. With his hardworking wife and two enthusiastic children by his side, he ventures into a field unknown to contemporary India, an amazing adventure that leads to the making of India's first feature film, Raja Harishchandra. Along the way the Phalke family encounter mostly funny but also a few grave situations, alongside a team of crazy yet lovable people that help win over patrons.

It was great to watch a film that took you back in time to the very origins of cinema in India itself. I really enjoyed it particularly with my Marathi friends. The language made them feel at home.
